e*health Networks
recently developed and installed a series of independent learning
programs designed to support the HIPAA compliance efforts at
Delta Dental Plan of California. Education and training
of anyone involved in the handling of healthcare-related information
is one of the major requirements under HIPAA initiatives. Working
closely with Delta Dental representatives, e*health Networks
developed a solution satisfying this legislative requirement
that combines dynamic, interactive multimedia training with
a simple compliance tracking system.
A core
series of fourteen, six to eight minute education and training
modules were installed covering key aspects of HIPAA legislation.
The presentations will be delivered through a series of customized,
web-enabled table of contents pages available on the company’s
wide-area network and CD.
E*health
Networks has also designed educational, orientation and skill
improvement courses and seminars to assist customer service
representatives at one of the largest healthcare service plans in the country. The series
of enriched multimedia programs were installed to help employees
acquire necessary competencies, improve job performance and enhance the value of services
offered to their customers.
